Pashmina by Nidhi Chanani (graphic novel, paperback)

Priyanka Das is full of questions, why did her mother abandon India? What was it like? Most importantly, who is her father?  Why did her mother leave him behind? But she is not getting any answers from her mother who will avoid any conversation about India. 

Pri is left with no other choice but to imagine what that faraway land is like, that is, until she finds a mysterious pashmina tucked away in a forgotten suitcase. When she wraps herself in it, she is transported to a vivid colorful place, but is this the real India? To find out she will have to travel far and find her family.
